When our clients purchased this 1910 Craftsman Home in Altadena, California, they knew immediately they needed to put some tender loving care into the home. We began this historic home restoration project with a complete remodel of the kitchen. We also remodeled the downstairs powder room, which had last been updated in the 1950’s and didn’t fit with the style of this historic home. We removed the paint on the wainscoting in the dining room, restoring it to the original beautiful stained wood, which now matches the rest of the woodwork in the home. Upstairs, we added a master bathroom, master closet, and a laundry area, all in keeping with the Craftsman Home style. Though a historic home restoration project, the owners incorporated convenient and durable modern materials to keep their newly remodeled rooms looking fresh and vibrant, even thirty years down the road.
